“拉菲”较普遍的含义是指世界**酒庄拉菲古堡（Chateau Lafite Rothschild），同时“拉菲”也是其酒庄所有者拉菲罗斯柴尔德男爵集团DBR（Lafite）——Domaines Barons de Rothschild(Lafite)的简称，这个集团属于赫赫**的罗斯柴尔德家族。1868年8月8日，詹姆士?罗斯柴尔德爵士（Baron James Rothschild）在公开**会上以四百四十万法郎的天价中标，购得拉菲古堡。该家族一直拥有拉菲古堡至今，且一直维持着拉菲古堡的高质量和世界**葡萄酒的声誉。整个罗斯柴尔德家族在葡萄酒产业共有三个独立分支，即拉菲罗斯柴尔德男爵集团、埃德蒙罗斯柴尔德男爵集团和菲利普罗斯柴尔德男爵集团。
